BMERC

Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Environmental Records Centre (BMERC)

Buckinghamshire Council. 6th Floor, Walton Street Offices, Aylesbury. HP20 1UY

BMERC are the official environmental recording centre for Milton Keynes and Bucks.

As BMERC are one of the places that developers (and those who might wish to fight developers) turn to when trying to establish the environmental value of an area, it is vitally important that their records are kept up to date.

FoLLNR submit records to BMERC from a variety of sources (eg our Flickr site, ringing records and trustworthy or verified observations) on a regular basis and we would encourage all our members to ensure that notable or interesting observations are recorded.

You can find out more about BMERC and how to submit records at www.bucksmkerc.org.uk

As at Oct 2020 BMERC had received over 20,000 records relating LLNR and surrounding area including over 200 species of birds and nearly 500 species of moths.

Below is a list of less-common and priority bird species held by BMERC which have been recorded in or around LLNR between 2015 and 2020. The latest year is the last time they were notified to BMERC and the earliest year is the first time they were notified.

This list has been reproduced through the kind permission of BMERC.
